Sometimes, the shortest distance between two points is a serpentine trail clear across a continent. My upcoming EP, TIME, is a collection of songs born from that massive latitude - a sonic travelogue of what it means to look back, gather up your history, and finally make your way home. Following the contours of this inner landscape, the project is less of a conventional release and more of an arrival.
There is a latent prescience in these songs. I wrote them long before I knew I would leave behind my familiar world and cross the country. Listening back, the music feels less like a reflection and more like a map I was subconsciously drawing for my future self.
That sense of arrival was mirrored early on by The Current - one of the few independent, listener-supported radio stations left in the nation and based out of Minneapolis. In their local roundup, they noted that the track "Landed" beautifully captures "a moment of realization on arrival after a journey," praising its soulful depth, intimate arrangement, and vulnerable, expressive vocals.
Before the full EP lands at the end of Autumn, you can trace the early footprints of these mixes on Bandcamp {including those first coordinates of “Landed.”}
It took a monumental distance - and what feels like a collection of separate, many-lived lives - to reach this shore, giving up almost everything I knew. But the horizon is finally clearing.

Thank you for walking the distance with me.
